Year-round homes and summer houses
Shore houses have their own rhythm. Some are lived in all year. Others sit closed from October to May and need to be ready by Memorial Day. We plan work around how you use the house, so a winter renovation is finished, cleaned and ready before the season starts.
What we do in houses
- Kitchen remodeling. Layout changes, cabinetry, counters, backsplash, lighting and appliance installation.
- Bathroom remodeling. Primary baths, guest baths and the outdoor-shower-adjacent powder rooms every shore house needs.
- Flooring and tile. Durable floors that handle sand, wet feet and a house full of guests.
- Drywall, painting and trim. Repairs, open-concept updates and full interior repaints.
- Lighting. Fixture upgrades, recessed lighting and architectural lighting.
- Closets and storage. Built-ins and custom closet systems for beach gear, linens and everything else.
Shore conditions shape the work
Salt air, humidity, sand and flood exposure all matter in a coastal house. We choose materials that stand up to moisture and heavy use, and we talk through the practical side early: where water and sand come in, how the house is closed up for winter, and what will still look good after ten summers of rentals or family weekends.
Permits and licensing
Work that requires a permit goes through the local construction office in your town. Boardwalk Renovations, LLC is a licensed New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor (#13VH13516900), and we will tell you up front which parts of your project need permits and inspections.
One contact from start to finish
Jim is your point of contact for the whole project, from the first walk-through to the final punch list. If you are not at the house during the work, you get photo and video updates along the way.

“The entire process was seamless from start to finish. Communication was clear, timelines were respected, and the finished space exceeded our expectations. We felt confident every step of the way.”
