Renovating at The Plaza
The Plaza is an oceanfront tower in Lower Chelsea, dating to the mid-1960s, with units from studios to large multi-bedroom layouts. Our shop at 3101 Boardwalk is close by, so walk-throughs and check-ins are easy.
Updating a 1960s unit
Units in a building this age often still have original layouts, older plumbing and electrical, and earlier renovations of mixed quality. We open walls carefully, show you what we find, and price anything unexpected in writing before the extra work is done. The result is a unit that looks new and works like it.
Working within the association’s process
Unit work at The Plaza follows the association’s rules: approval of the scope of work, certificates of insurance, elevator scheduling and approved working hours. We handle the paperwork with building management and protect hallways and elevators every day we work.

Common questions
Do you work at The Plaza?
Yes. We renovate units at The Plaza, 101 S. Plaza Place, and coordinate with the association on approvals and scheduling.
What if you find problems behind the walls?
We photograph what we find, explain the options and give you a written price before doing any extra work. Older buildings make this common, so we plan for it.
Can you convert my tub to a walk-in shower?
Yes. We confirm drain and plumbing locations first, then waterproof, tile and add glass.
How much does a condo bathroom remodel cost?
Most bathroom remodels we quote fall between $15,000 and $35,000, depending on size, tile, shower glass and whether plumbing moves.
