Renovating 20 stories up is a different job
A condo renovation in Atlantic City is not a house renovation stacked in the sky. Every board, box of tile and bag of debris moves through a loading dock and a service elevator that the whole building shares. The association sets the working hours, the insurance requirements and the rules for hallways and common areas. A contractor who does not plan around those rules loses days, and sometimes loses access to the building altogether.
Boardwalk Renovations works out of 3101 Boardwalk, inside Ocean Club, a few minutes from most of the high-rises on the island. High-rise condo work is the core of what we do, and it was the focus of our feature in New Jersey Lifestyle Magazine's Fall 2026 issue.
What a full condo renovation includes
- Association paperwork. Certificates of insurance, alteration applications and scheduling with building management before work starts.
- Common area protection. Hallway and elevator protection, floor runners and daily cleanup so neighbors are not living in a construction zone.
- Demolition and removal. Debris bagged, carted through the service elevator during approved hours and hauled away.
- Kitchens and baths. Cabinetry, counters, tile, fixtures and vanities, coordinated so the unit is usable again as fast as possible.
- Floors, walls and ceilings. Flooring with the sound underlayment buildings require, drywall, paint and trim.
- Lighting and finishes. Recessed and architectural lighting, closets and storage, and the final details.
Built for salt air and ocean light
Oceanfront units take a beating from salt air, humidity and full sun. We specify materials that hold up to that environment: coatings that resist moisture, hardware and fixtures that will not pit, and flooring that stays stable through humid summers and closed-up winters.
Owners who live somewhere else
Many of our condo clients live in Pennsylvania, North Jersey or New York and visit on weekends. Jim keeps them connected with regular photos, video walk-throughs and FaceTime calls, so decisions keep moving and the project stays on schedule even when the owner is miles away.

“Boardwalk Renovations transformed our condo into a space that feels refined, calm, and built to last. The quality of the work and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire project.”
Crissy · Ocean Club condo ownerCommon questions
Do I need association approval to renovate my condo?
Almost always. Most Atlantic City condo associations require an alteration application, a certificate of insurance from the contractor and agreement to the building's working hours. We handle that paperwork with building management before work begins.
How long does a full condo renovation take?
It depends on scope and the building's rules. A single bathroom can be a few weeks; a full unit with kitchen, baths and floors runs longer. Service elevator access and approved hours are usually the biggest factors, and we plan the schedule around them up front.
Can you manage the project if I don't live at the shore?
Yes. Many clients are part-time owners. Jim sends photos and video updates and can walk you through the unit on FaceTime at each stage.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Boardwalk Renovations, LLC holds New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor License #13VH13516900.
