Flooring and Tile Installation at the Shore

Durable, elegant floors and tile for condos and shore homes, chosen to handle sand, salt air and summer traffic.

Floors that handle the shore

Sand works like sandpaper. Humidity swings from summer to a closed-up winter. Wet feet come in from the beach. The right floor for a shore home or oceanfront condo is not always the right floor for a house inland, and we help you pick materials that will still look good after years of use.

What we install

  • Luxury vinyl plank. Waterproof, durable and a popular choice for rentals and busy summer homes.
  • Hardwood and engineered wood. For owners who want real wood, with guidance on what holds up near the water.
  • Porcelain and ceramic tile. Floors, showers and backsplashes, including large-format and patterned tile.
  • Natural stone. Marble and stone for bathrooms, entries and feature walls.
  • Feature walls. Tile and stacked stone walls, fireplaces and backsplashes.

Flooring in condo buildings

Most condo associations require sound-control underlayment under hard flooring so neighbors below are not hearing every footstep. Requirements vary from building to building. We confirm what your association requires before we order materials, so the floor passes the first time.

Prep is what makes a floor last

A floor is only as good as what is underneath it. We level and prepare the subfloor before installation, because skipping that step is what leads to cracked tile, squeaks and gaps a year later.

Common questions

What flooring is best for a shore house?

Luxury vinyl plank and porcelain tile are the most durable choices for sand and moisture. Engineered wood works well for owners who want real wood. We walk through the tradeoffs with you.

Does my condo require soundproofing under the floor?

Most buildings do. We check your association's requirements and install the underlayment they call for.

Do you install tile in showers?

Yes, along with floors, backsplashes, niches and feature walls.
